In some cases, this means that recently applied changes are not immediately accessible. For example, module results submitted by a user may take a few minutes to be visible to other users.

  1. Try downloading file
    • This attempts to download a video file, without playing it.
    • You should see a number of steps describing the download progress.
    • If you see "Download Successful!" then the file downloaded correctly.
    • If you see "Status 'OK'" then the download was successful.
    • If you are using Internet Explorer and see 'parseerror', then the file download was successful, and the 'parseerror' refers to how the downloaded file is used.
    • If download fails, your network may be blocking access to videos.
  2. Try playing video
    • This attempts to play the video file using Flash, Silverlight, or HTML5.
    • The player is automatically choosen based on the capabilities of your browser.
    • If the video does not play, try one the following players.
  3. Try playing video using HTML5
    • This attempts to play the video file using an HTML5 video tag.
    • This method may not work on Internet Explorer, or older versions of other browsers.
  4. Try playing video using Silverlight
    • This attempts to play the video file using a Silverlight player.
    • This method will not work on iPad or similar devices.
    • This method will not work if Silverlight is not installed, or if the installation is corrupted.
  5. Try playing video using Flowplayer (Flash)
    • This attempts to play the video file using Flowplayer, a Flash-based video player.
    • This method will not work on iPad or similar devices.

  • Check that your speakers are not muted.
  • Adjust the audio volume to be at least 50%
  • Check to ensure that your speakers or headphones are correctly connected.
  • Check your system's Sound and Audio settings to ensure that your speaker drivers are up-to-date.
